Meet Michael McCurry
Michael M. McCurry, CMP
Michael M McCurry is a 30 year veteran of the meetings & events industry. He began his career at the Hyatt Regency O’hare in 1979 as a Front Desk Agent. He eventually joined the Convention Services Department and continued that role at several hotels until joining Conferon (now Experient) in 1985.
McCurry is currently a Strategic Account Manager with Experient and is responsible for oversight of the relationship between Experient and numerous corporate and association clients. He has been an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) since 1993 and most recently 2009 President of the Greater Midwest Chapter.
Mike has a special affinity for technology and has become a strong social media advocate. Outside of work, he is an accomplished musician, guitarist and songwriter. When he’s not riding his Harley, he’s rooting for the Chicago Bears and Cubs.

Great to see you are still in the business!!!!
I am “retired” from IBM and now in Arizona, but still keep my hand in with meeting planning….mainly as a volunteer with various schools, etc.
Saw Bonaventure last year….quite a change. Also keep in touch with both Linda Sandberg and John VanOrdstand. In fact, expect to see him (and his new wife….he finally got married in Feb of this year) in November when we pass thru Ft. Lauderdale on the way to a cruise. I think Sue Pelegrin (sp?), is coming along. She was JVO’s secy/asst., way back when.

So great to hear from you. Wow, it has been so many years, and I am glad to know you are enjoying life.
My life is good, have two beautiful children that are now adults, and I am still working away in the events business.
I’ve been in Chicago for 9 years, and am in my 25th year working with Experient (formerly Conferon)
Hope our paths cross at some point and if you are ever in Chicago please look me up!
